Ozzmium Limited: Product Warranty Policy (UK)
1. Warranty Periods
Ozzmium Limited operates a component-specific warranty. For Emergency Versions of our fittings, the luminaire and the battery pack are covered by different durations to reflect their respective engineering lifecycles.
Category Brand / Component Type Warranty Period LED Luminaires Ozzmium or Zliss Branded 7 Years
LED Luminaires Partner Products (Resale) 5 Years
Integral Battery Packs LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) 5 Years
Integral Battery Packs Liteplan Branded 4 Years
Integral Battery Packs NiCd (Nickel Cadmium) 2 Years
How this applies to Emergency Fittings:
If you purchase an Ozzmium Emergency LED luminaire, the LED light engine and driver are covered for 7 years. However, the battery pack contained within that fitting is a consumable item. If a NiCd battery fails after 3 years, it is past its 2-year warranted life; however, the luminaire itself remains under its original 7-year protection.
2. LED Performance & Fault Thresholds
A luminaire is only deemed "faulty" for warranty purposes if:
● Failure Threshold: In excess of 10% of the total LEDs in a single fitting have failed completely.
● Lumen Maintenance: The light output falls below the specified L-rating threshold for the product within the warranty period.
3. Communication & Claim Protocol
All claims must follow this streamlined process to ensure technical validation and efficient handling:
1. Notification: Email info@ozzmium.co.uk with the original Invoice Number and a clear photograph of the product label found on the faulty fitting.
2. Confirmation: Once our technical team has reviewed the documentation, we will provide written confirmation to proceed.
3. Shipping: The faulty unit should then be decommissioned and sent to our head office for inspection:

● Repair: Rectification of the defective luminaire or component.
● Replacement: Provision of a new or equivalent specification product.
● Refund: A credit note or refund of the original purchase price (pro-rata at our discretion).
